It definitely needs updating...but what a great space! At 2,464 sqft...there is a ton of space and the views are amazing. On a clear day you can see all the way to the coast. I tend to love older houses. Don't get me wrong, I love a clean, simple, modern house. However, I love love love older houses. I love built ins. I love the extra little details there are to be found.
One of the reasons we chose to live in the apartment we do was because of the built in corner china cabinet and the ginger bread work in the kitchen. The bathroom still has PINK tile on the floors and walls...but we love it!
Last weekend I photographed a 1931 upstairs flat in Beverly Hills. It was almost a time capsule from the 60s. My client had been hired to update the kitchen and three bathrooms and I came in to photograph the "afters" of his remodeling. I'm a little bummed I didn't get to see the kitchen and bathrooms before they had been remodeled. I'm sure they would have been too cool! I'll show you the updates next time...for now, here are my favorite details...
